Saturday, October 6th, is the day for the 44th Annual Richland Cross Country Invitational. Looks like there will be over 50 high school teams from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and even British Columbia besides a number of middle schools. And I will be there photographing all the races.
There will be some exciting races, with nationally ranked runners and teams going head to head. The key match-up will be Andrew Gardner (US#7) running against Joe Hardy (US#8) and Kai Wilmot (US#15). On the girls side we have Alexa Efraimson (US#8) facing Katie Knight (US#12) as well as Jordan McPhee. On the team side, Kamiakin High (US#21) from Kennewick will do their best to outrun North Central (US#4) from Spokane.
